Auberge La Caravane Merzouga
Camel trekking excursion
When you visit the desert of Merzouga, you will wonder what activities you can do in the dunes other than Camel trekking. Here, we will show you what activities you will enjoy within staying in Auberge La Caravane or some other hotel. Our team works to provide you with the best fun activities in the sand dunes.
Our camel trekking starts in the afternoon. Auberge La Caravane Camelmen will greet you and take care of you during your camel ride. Before your camel’s caravan departs, our camel men will ensure everyone is well settled on the camelback, then start our guided camel excursion with our camel men on the sand dunes. Willing to approach the highest point on the sand dunes, where we will see an amazing sunset view. After sunset, you will camel trek back to the Auberge or the camp according to the program.
Our camel trekking can start also earlier in the morning to dive into the sand dunes and watch an amazing sunrise over the sand dunes.

Tons of fun, great experience and beautiful desert stay
We stayed here as part of a group tour through Morocco. Upon arrival we were helped onto our camels and we began a 1-1.5hr trek into the desert to the camp area. As others have mentioned we also rode a snowboard down some sand dunes, enjoyed a delicious meal, fun music around the campfire and (once the clouds cleared) an amazing view of the starry night sky! Magical place
What a fantastic place to stay. Great hospitality, clean rooms (a bit hot though with no air con), swimming pool, and above all the beautiful sand dunes right at the doorstep. You can’t ask for more ! We have paid 500 DH for a double (£40 or €50) and this includes dinner and breakfast. The auberge offers a variety of activities and since we were a bit short on time we have only chosen the sunrise camel trek. Read more

Rice salad and vegetable or beef tagine. We helped them clean up everything and then came the music around the fire which was lovely and united our group. The people did everything so passionately… Read more
